One word for this performance: REGAL!

He is the BEST, since then nobody can be better than him! :)

And I nostalgically remember these times were presentation and artistry was more important than technics, when people proudly think it was "figure skating". Now it is more jumping on ice and that's why people like Plush won so much recently, compared to people like Lambiel and Buttle, great dancers on ice.

All the world immediately after the program yelled "he is the gld winner" unlike NBC commentors: I mean, Dick Button started to yell "you are watching at the winner", the Canadian keot repeating how fantastic he was, the German commentors "the gold belongs only to him", the French commentors "good techinical performance from Plush but on the level of choreography, emotion and dance you can't compare the two". I agree with all of them. This was his Olympics.(2)

He absolutely desereved this. Everything was clean, he did one 4-3-2 unlike Plush (because he did a serious mistake on that) and another 4 and a fantastic 3-axel. And the choreography I am sorry...no comparison with Plush. (1)

in current system Alexei couldn't take the gold from Plushenko with that programme. Plushenko is always the best

Como me gustaba ver patinar a Yagudin!... era absolutamente perfecto. Plushenko también me gustaba muchísimo, pero el mejor era Alexei.

Yeah, conservative with a quad-triple-double combination and a quad toe in its own... ;-D

Magnificent!!
I don't think Sandhu actually deserves to be compared to Plushenko and Yagudin...Two totally different levels, but of course opinions are opinions. I love both Alexei and Evgeni, Sandhu not so much...I like Tomas Verner, even if he messes up at times, I think he can do something nice, once he got both programmes together :) |
