I spent 2 months learning all the words (or what I thought they were) back in 1980 driving back and forth to college. At long last, I can make sense out of this "cult" favorite. eboyd32, you did a great job on this one! I can still recite this entire mix almost 30 years later - some things you just never forget!

yea they're rapping but see hip hop is the old school original shit while rap is the more agressive realistic.
this song was the start of the hip-hop movement thus makin it HIP-HOP

i just want to dedicate a big fuck you to whoever made the decision to yank this video off youtube. since google bought this site, all they have done is remove videos because of copyright claims or other (legitimate) reasons. but this song can't belong to anyone, its everyone's, it's what hip hop was, its what it promised to be before all hip hop got all crappy and violent.

It's got all the themes from normal rap, with derriere's and pretty girls, but somehow this' got way more class.
I'm not sure wether that's because of the nostalgia, or because this isn't so woefully macho. I get the feeling that these guys didn't take themselves too seriously and I definitly like that. It's fun and howya call that... dope?
