Probably. My girlfriend is Polish, and they have relatives originally from Bialystok who were exhiled to Kazakhstan. Some high Soviet officials had definite Polish ancestry= Gen. Rokossovsky, Radek (trade union leader in the 1920s purged by Stalin).
My girlfriend's Babcia was about to be deported to the East in June '41 when the Germans came precisely on the day she was to be transported. They welcomed them with flowers and gifts. My girl wouldn't have been born if she was deported.
