Lots of people who work in advertising fill the world with garbage. These are the people who bring us shitty mainstream music, shitty biased news networks, shitty TV shows, and use commercials to make us feel insecure so we buy shit. These are also the people who market products using new chemicals that haven't been tested thoroughly like partially-hydrogenated oil, carcinogenic chemicals, and countless other things. It's really fucked up if you think about it, but hey, that's the U.S.
