I was also wondering how he managed to figure that out. I went to see this movie with my nephew who seemed to understand everything. But with my pride as his aunt, I could not allow myself to ask him about it. So may I also say thank you for the tip.

the picture was supposedly taken in his apartment which it was but the thing is that picture on the phone was taken a while ago... his room was just fixed.. so if she was really waiting in the apartment..the picture shouldn't have that stain on the wall

i've commented on this trailer before.. the co-signature requirement ewan made for the transmitted money to be withdrawn was awesome. by the way, it's silly of me to be commenting again. but could someone explain about the-gass-leaking-pipe thing ewan spotted in the pic, please? how did it help him know that the room the hostage girl was in was one of the apartments he lived in?

Loved this film, great plot. I think the the last scene should have ended with them looking each other instead of the view of that little square in Madrid. Never the less, awesome, nothing less than i expect of Ewan, *****
