So what does Mike Huckabee attribute his subsequent fade to? Jesus? I saw him asked something to the effect of "do you think the Earth is 6,000 years old" and he got all huffy about it. He said "I can't believe you're asking me about that." See? It's okay to bring up Jesus and all that when it suits your purposes and objectives, but not otherwise. Obviously they've done the math and realize that Jesus talk will earn more votes than it loses.

In fact the "Golden Rule" derives from a section of the Hebrew bible (Torah) known as Kedoshim, which translates to mean holiness or holies. The actual translation is closer to "Love others as you love yourself". Love is the answer, not war, not hate, and the "religious right" in this country or elsewhere.

"Read the writings of the founding fathers"?
The fuckwits who want religion in government don't even read their own bible.

In America a politician has to believe in a sky fairy to get elected to anything. Only the Muslim countries are as god-soaked at the Americans.

Probably not. That's why it's more sad than funny :). Still, it is kind of funny. |
