Three-time Grammy nominee LUCIANA SOUZA was raised in São Paulo, Brazil, where she grew up in a family of Bossa Nova composers. A respected composer and vocalist, she defies categories bringing her outstanding musicianship and unique sound to any project. Whether performing works by Osvaldo Golijov and Manuel de Falla, singing with the big bands with Maria Schneider and Kenny Wheeler, or performing in small jazz groups, Souza brings something to the music that has been called "transcendental."

I am a music seller at my job, and we just happen to get the special promotional copy of this cd, and everytime i play it, there are a least 10 customers or more, come and ask me what cd is that im playing, every song on it is beautiful! she has a great voice! we have sold out of this cd again, and of course ive ordered more!!!!!!!
