rome's troops overpower all their neighbors easily. unless the battle diff is m or ea they romans can easly flank phalanx and elephants put u in the hole in the first dozen turns.

its easy to win Rome total war ! what are you on ? ROME was the biggest empire ! and they made it like that in the game using otehr empire's are just as good ya jst got to use them right elephants are the best weeopen unless your against pike men but there best against romans anyways

and it is near impossible to win against an advanced rome.... if they at least gave the gauls, greeks, and carthas better infantry to try and match rome it would be funner.

yeah i played as selsuid and i took over the whole middleeast to grece and to catrthage but then i was attacked by all the houses of rome

true, but the only countries that can do this are the greeks, carthage, and gaul. and none of these countries can field an army to beat the senate in the first few dozen turns. gaul has the worst chance of all. if they made rome actually struggle it would be fun. if they started the game in 300 B.C. when alexander's succesors just started empires and when rome and carthage and eppirus were fighting an even larger war than the punics, it would be fun. especially cuz eppirus isnt in rome total war

dude its a matter of speed. If you can attack them fast enough with out them developing. its gona be easy.

u can win, but the invasion of italy is much more difficult then need be. the seleucids have a good army but the game makes it so that they ususally have problems with the pontus and armenians......
